01 Scope
This policy covers the Android application Emote Bundle Tool and nothing else. It explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the controls available to you. By installing or using the app you accept the practices described here.
02 What the app collects
The app does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide a name, address, phone number, or payment details. It has no access to your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone, or precise location.
What it does handle is limited to the technical and usage data listed here, gathered automatically by Google services embedded in the app:
| Data | Why it is handled | Handled by |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID | Selecting and measuring ads, and limiting how often the same ad is repeated. Resettable and deletable by you at any time. | Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager |
| Device and app information | Device model, operating system version, language, country, and app version — used to serve compatible ads and diagnose problems. | Google AdMob, Firebase |
| Usage and interaction data | Which screens are opened and which features are used, in aggregate, to understand what is worth improving. | Google Analytics for Firebase |
| Push notification token | A device-specific token that allows update and tip notifications to be delivered. Only created if you allow notifications. | Firebase Cloud Messaging |
| Approximate location | Country or region inferred from IP address only. The app never requests GPS or precise location permission. | Google AdMob, Firebase |
| Crash and diagnostic data | Technical details recorded when something fails, so it can be fixed. | Firebase |
Any values you type into the app — such as a diamond amount in the calculator — are used on your device to produce a result and are not transmitted or stored anywhere.
03 Advertising
The app is free and supported by advertising. Ads are delivered through Google AdMob and may also be delivered through Google Ad Manager. These services may use your advertising ID and the device data above to show personalized ads, measure their performance, and detect fraud.
You are not required to accept personalized ads. If you opt out through your device settings, ads still appear, but they are selected without using your advertising ID for personalization.
04 Analytics
Google Analytics for Firebase records events such as the app being opened and screens being viewed. This data is reported in aggregate and is used to see which parts of the app are used and which are not. It is not used to identify you and is not combined with any name or contact detail, because the app holds none.
05 Notifications
With your permission, the app can send notifications about updates, tips, and new features. Android asks for this permission the first time, and you may decline. If you allow it and change your mind, notifications can be switched off permanently in your device settings — this does not affect any other part of the app.
06 Remote configuration
The app retrieves a small settings file from Firebase Remote Config each time it starts. This controls values such as how often ads appear and whether an update notice should be shown. The request sends only basic device and app-version information, and no personal data.
07 Links and embedded web pages
The app may open a web page, either inside the app or in your browser. Once you are on an external page, this policy no longer applies and the privacy policy of that site governs what happens there.
Sharing a link from the app hands the text to whichever app you choose from the Android share sheet. What that app does with it is governed by its own policy.
08 Who the data is shared with
Data is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone beyond the Google services that make the app work — AdMob, Ad Manager, and Firebase. Each acts under its own privacy policy:
Information may additionally be disclosed where the law requires it.
09 Retention and security
No user database is operated for this app, so there is no stored profile to retain or delete. Advertising and analytics data is retained by Google under its own retention schedules. Data in transit is protected using standard encryption, though no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure.
10 Children
This app is not directed to children under 13, and is not intended for them. No information is knowingly collected from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has used the app can remove it and reset the device advertising ID, which clears the identifier used for advertising.
11 Your controls
Everything the app collects can be controlled from your device:
- Reset or delete your advertising ID — Settings › Privacy › Ads. Deleting it stops personalized advertising across all apps.
- Opt out of personalized ads — Settings › Privacy › Ads › Opt out of Ads Personalization.
- Turn off notifications — Settings › Apps › Emote Bundle Tool › Notifications.
- Stop all collection — uninstall the app. Nothing is retained on your device afterwards.
Because the app stores no account and no identifying record, there is no personal profile to request a copy of or ask to have erased. The device controls above are the complete set of choices available.
12 Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. Any revision is published on this page with a new "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a revision means you accept it.
